Corporate Social Responsibility at SKIPP

As a creative agency, we are highly ambitious when it comes to being a sustainable company.

SKIPP Creative Video Agency has been a partner of MVO Nederland for several years. Our company makes conscious choices to strike a balance between People, Planet, and Profit. We focus on new market opportunities, growth, and innovation with a profit that benefits people, society, and the environment – now and in the future.

Even in the way we work, we continuously look for better ways to do things. We aim to minimise our ecological footprint, prioritise diversity, and drive innovation through our own organisation.

Our office

Our office is completely CO2 neutral and holds an Energy Label A, furnished with sustainable (often circular) products.

Diversity in the workplace: When hiring new employees, we consciously focus on diversity and inclusion. Ultimately, we aim to grow into an organisation that is a balanced reflection of society.

We encourage employees to travel by bike or public transport.

Supply chain responsibility: In our procurement and tendering processes, we weigh social criteria such as diversity and inclusion, as well as environmental criteria, when selecting suppliers. This is part of our annual supplier evaluations, which are incorporated into our ISO 9001 management system. We also have an internal code of conduct, a whistleblower policy, privacy policy, and a policy on secondary employment.

SKIPP is ISO 9001 certified, which means all these processes are integrated into our management system and are externally audited every year.

Our fleet

Nearly 85% of our fleet consists of fully electric vehicles, and these are charged using green electricity from renewable energy sources.
The CO2 emissions from our remaining vehicles and the flights we take annually are directly offset.

Social return:

Through the film shoots we conduct globally, we are often confronted with the vast differences between our lives and others.

Healthy Malawi

We are particularly moved by the living conditions of children, many of whom are homeless. Since 2007, we have adopted several children through the Healthy Malawi Foundation, a small organisation founded by Dutch national Sandra Verbaan. This remarkable woman has worked selflessly in Malawi for years, helping vulnerable children. Through adoption and sponsorship, she has set up several projects that genuinely improve the quality of life for these children.

In addition to this, we support several selected charitable causes in the Netherlands, including vital cancer research at the Amsterdam Cancer Center at VU University Medical Center, for which we produced a mini-documentary to highlight the importance of cancer research. In the near future, we will create more productions for VU Medical Center to support cancer research.

Metakids

Metakids is an organisation dedicated to children suffering from a terrible metabolic disease, many of whom do not live long lives. For Metakids, we produced several videos free of charge and worked on a large outdoor campaign that was visible across the Netherlands.

SBB Accredited training company

SKIPP has been an SBB-accredited training company for years. Annually, we provide training for several individuals, helping them prepare for the job market and develop their skills in our wonderful industry.

Fossil, no deal!

At SKIPP, we have joined the “Fossil, No Deal” initiative, which aligns perfectly with our long-term ambition to operate in a socially responsible manner.

This means we have decided not to engage in campaigns or productions related to fossil fuel transport or the fossil fuel industry. We say no to assignments directly related to oil drilling.

On the other hand, we are more than happy to collaborate on projects focused on accelerating sustainability and creating a safe, social, and healthy world. In other words, at SKIPP, we strive to make a positive impact on brands, products, and organisations that are also working towards a healthier planet.

Why are we doing this? Not for fame or recognition, but simply because it feels right, it motivates us even more, makes us proud, and we are eager to contribute our part to creating a better world.
